Night Cafe

I have been to the night cafe a few times and I now discover that people really find some good bargains and that they do find some value in this night market. I am beginning to see the other side of it, not just the negative side. I know it is a big hassle because the main street is blocked but people seem to find a way of negotiating the traffic. So everything is fine after all.

So I have been kept busy by Cagayan de Oro City stuff. And here are some of them: Health and the Web. I could be updating this blog more often from now on.

In Cagayan de Oro City

If I can have my way I would demolish this old goathouse and replace it with something akin to th one on the right. This is one of the sights in Cagayan de Oro City that serves to remind me that I should build something bigger and better.

Lakatan Bananas in Cagayan de Oro City

A month ago, I started planting Lakatan bananas from suckers I bought from Brod Dodo who has a lakatan farm in Kinoguitan. Planting lakatan bananas is not so easy involving not just land preparation which I did in the most haphazard way but also deciding how many plants you would want in your farm.

I decided it would be best to have a good enough density like 2,100 plants per hectare and computing from that I came up with a scheme of planting each sucker 215 cm. from each other. I think this is a pretty good number. The traditional way is to plant each sucker three meters apart which would result in a density of less than 1000 plants per hectare.

The Night Cafe in Cagayan de Oro City

The Night Cafe seems to have become a permanent fixture in Cagayan de Oro City and merchants ad hawkers as no longer content to show their wares on Friday and Saturday as the designated dates; but they seem to have them at the Divisoria on other days as well. This has come to be accepted by the people of Cagayan de Oro as well who seem to appreciate the fiesta atmosphere of wares being displayed on the streets.

I used to think that the Night Cafe was a big nuisance and that it served very little purpose at all. I could be wrong and the fact that more and more sellers and buyers come to meet on weekends to conduct commerce seems to suggest that this is something that benefits many people. Certainly Cagayan de Oro City has changed in more ways than one. Like or not, the Night Cafe seems to indicate an ever-increasing presence in the lives of the folks of Cagayan de Oro City. C'est la vie.

New Version

[...] This is a new format which I will be using for a while.[...]

I will be moving soon and there will be a break while I set up my computers. I noticed something about VirtualBox lately and it is about the VBoxManage unility which doesn't work on my machine. Upon closer inspection, I found out that there is a new version which I also downloaded. I will install it today after removing the old files, vm's and virtual disks.

Time is needed

Something needs to be done and done fast. I have a few things lined up which require immediate attention. However, sometimes there is just no hurrying up things. The pieces that need to fit together have to be ready before they will be put together. Such is the nature of the universe and catalysts might be applied to make things move faster still, very often the only ingredient needed is time.

This Golden City

It might turn out that my plans for going to Cagayan de Oro and work there will not materialize after all. This is just as well, it felt kind of contrived and did not really feel right, like I would be a fish out of water. This is not to say that I would be a stranger in Cagayan de Oro and not fit into the groove of this town. Rather, it was the over-all feel of the thing. I would have been just performing, doing something which is not mine, mouthing words that do not come from my soul, pretending to be something I am not.

I will still be going back to Cagayan de Oro but this time, it will be to do something that I like, to be productive in the manner that I want. This is much better than just filling a pair of shoes and doing a pirouette that lacked integrity. I have great affection for this city, this golden city called Cagayan de Oro City. There are things that I need to do and I need to be in Cagayan de Oro City to do them.

Our favorites are: Ching's World, Green Tea, Dumaguete, Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro City, Papoy, Moira Trinity Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Cebu are all in the Philippines in the world of Ching.
